Azure App Service allows to automate business processes and host cloud-based APIs. Azure's integrated application service makes it easy to create a single solution that combines several components (websites, REST APIs, business processes, etc.). Clients get the opportunity to integrate their applications with applications in the local environment and automate business processes. Clients can run their applications on a computing platform shared with other users of the service or on resources allocated for client use only.
The term application refers here to resources allocated for workload performance. Most users think that a web application in a browser requires computing resources and application code. In an application service, a web application is a compute resource that Azure Stack provides for hosting application code.
An application can consist of several different Azure App Service applications. For example, if the application consists of a web interface and a REST API server part, the following options are available: - deploy both these components in a web application; - deploy the front-end code in the web application and the server-side code in the API application.
