The first phase of the project is a year and a half long. The digital platform will replace more than 100 production and management systems. The project includes creation of digital core of the company which will allow it to manage the full production cycle. The processes of supply management, inventory and warehouses, repair, sales and transportation will be combined on the basis of a single SAP platform.
The digital management platform for Segezha Group will be located in a private cloud created in own MTS data center – Avantage. #CloudMTS will ensure implementation, operation and maintenance of project infrastructure both at the cloud level and IT equipment. The provider will also administer and support the operation of the SAP system complex in the cloud, including the implementation and maintenance of the technical basis of the platform. Reliability and continuity of business systems will be ensured by highly resilient #CloudMTS infrastructure: equipment placement in its own Tier 3 data center, the use of MTS communication channels and full backup of all data.
Clouds are becoming the basis for business digitalization, allowing faster implementation of complex IT projects like those by Segezha Group. Using cloud technologies will ensure faster implementation and further scaling of company's digital platform. Among the expected effects of the implementation is improved accuracy of planning and execution of production plans, reduction equipment and inventory downtime, optimization of transportation costs.
